Sign the EFUA Manifesto for Urban Agriculture…
Since its launch, the EU Horizon 2020 funded EFUA Project has been working to highlight the diversity of Urban Agriculture (UA) and the multifunctional benefits that UA can provide. However, we believe that the full potential of Urban Agriculture can only be realised through greatly emphasising the integration of UA within cross-cutting European policies. With this Manifesto, EFUA would therefore like to provide recommendations for EU policymakers and practitioners. We propose the following to the EU:
- Create an official status for Urban Agriculture
- Facilitate exchange through themed Urban Agriculture Open Days
- Develop structured methods for collating UA statistics and data on UA
- Mapping and managing spaces for UA
- Creating Urban Agriculture Councils and Working Groups
